Day One

Your first day will take you through the wonderful city of Oxford. Sharing with you the extensive history and some secret sights, we will explore the historic city, visit University buildings, and marvel at the views of the dreaming spires. We leave the city along one of the tranquil waterways stopping at a fantastic country Inn or 1st Century Roman Villa for Lunch. Your day ends in a town quite often referred to as one of England’s prettiest medieval towns; Burford.

Day Two

Day two explores in more detail the famous stone walled architecture as will ride through the beautifully preserved and maintained villages heading towards the 1st Century town of Northleach, for lunch.

After lunch we leave Northleach and head out along calm country roads towards Chedworth’s 4th century Roman Villa. With its fine mosaics, bathing pools and temples it is one of the largest Roman remains in Britain. Your day ends as we follow the river towards the tantalising village of Bibury.

Day Three

We continue enjoying the charming villages as we head towards the Roman town of Cirencester (Corinium). Today more a metropolis than a sleepy village we will discover why the town was so important to the Romans and visit remaining Roman sites including an amphitheatre.

After lunch we slip out of the town and enter the peaceful and secluded countryside with only the interruptions of the local wildlife, and finish the day in the Anglo Saxon era market town of Tetbury.

Day Four

Our fourth day follows in the footsteps of the ancient Romans, cycling further south exploring the towns and villages within the counties of Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. Never veering far from the historic Roman Road, The Fosse Way which forms the boundary between these counties. In the afternoon, we discover some of the rarely visited hidden gems of the area, easily accessible by bicycle and later we head towards the peaceful town of Corsham, which with its Court House and free roaming peacocks, offers a memorable experience.

Day Five

We start today visiting the National Trust village of Lacock, which with its unspoilt character makes a gorgeous destination. Here we stop to explore before heading up to Broughton common for traditional English tavern lunch.

We continue through the tranquil countryside towards the quirky town of Bradford-upon-Avon where we stop for drink and join the Canal path, with its landscape views of the countryside and waterside pubs offers a peaceful traffic free ride into our end destination; the world renowned City of Bath.

Day Six

Our sixth day is dedicated to enjoying the Royal Spa town of Bath. Today you venture into the city by foot and learn why the Romans produced a world renowned spa city on this spot. This day is an unguided day, however we provide you with a very detailed travel guide and route highlighting the essential parts of the city you must explore, places to enjoy your lunch, dinner and drinks and of course the best spa locations to pamper yourselves.
