Exploring Oxfordshire pubs by bike
At Bainton Bikes we have never been interested in stamp collecting, pressing flowers or really any other hobbies. Our hobbies consist of bikes and beer! Owning a bike allows us to pursue our hobby to the full.
Oxfordshire has many, many great pubs in the city and some hidden gems dotted around the surrounding areas, which become much more accessible when you’re riding.
We write a regular article for the Oxford Drinker, which is a newsletter jointly produced by the Oxford and White Horse branches of CAMRA. The newsletters are distributed to all good pubs, restaurants and shops.
CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale, is an independent, voluntary, consumer organisation which campaigns for real ale, real pubs and consumer rights. Membership is open to all individuals (not to corporate entities such as breweries and pubs).
These webpages list all of the articles that have been produced for CAMRA and include details of the pubs visited and the routes followed. All of these routes are listed here for free and we recommend following as many as you can, we’ve been able to write about some great pubs that we knew and have found some really good pubs and routes in the process.
We hope you enjoy riding them as much as we do.
We continue to have days out on Oxfordshire pub tours, and anyone who is interested is more than welcome to come along. Contact us by phone on 01865 311610, email by info@baintonbikes.com or stop by and see us at Walton Street Cycles, 78 Walton Street, Oxford OX2 6EA.
