Oxfordshire Cycle Tours:

Oxfordshire is a beautiful county, from Oxford city to the historic market towns to the tranquil surrounding countryside there is something for everyone. Bainton Bikes is situated in central Oxford and run by people who have lived in the county all their lives. We’ve been lucky enough to have everything the county has to offer right on our doorstep and over the years we’ve explored miles of it; all in the best way possible, by bike!

We started our guided cycle tours in 2009 offering bespoke tours for families, corporate events, visiting students and for, hen and stag parties.

After much careful deliberation in 2011 we launched our ‘Official Oxford Cycle Tour’, that quickly became the first ever cycle tour in England to be awarded with the Quality Assurance Visitor Attraction status by the Nationwide tourist board Enjoy England.

New for 2012 we have launched two additional tours, ‘The Oxford Experience’ which combines all the best attractions in Oxford to offer a full days complete experience of Oxford. We have also launched a fantastic cycle tour of ‘The Charming Cotswolds’ carefully selecting our favourite parts of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Official Oxford Cycle Tour Duration: 2.3 - 3 Hours Summary: This tour includes 11 Stops, and includes exploring the beautiful city of Oxford, slipping away into the peaceful countryside, visiting the homes of inspirational Oxonians and stopping for refreshments at the famous 17th century 'Trout Inn'.	Bespoke Bicycle Tours Duration: You tell us! Summary: These tours can be as long or as short as you like, starting anytime of the day or night. Whether you have a route in mind or if you would like us to build one for you we have it covered.
The Oxford Experience Duration: 7 Hours Summary: This tour is the quintessential tour of Oxford. Offering a complete experience of Oxford, combining all aspects of what Oxford is renowned for worldwide. Be ready to ride the city and explore the hidden gems, trail your fingers in the silky river whilst leisurely punting along the idyllic river, enjoy lunch by the River Thames and finish the day exploring some of Oxford’s grandest university buildings.	The Charming Cotswold Duration: 4 - 5 Hours Summary: The Cotswolds is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and our cycle tour includes some of the most beautiful sleepy villages, tudor mansions, towers, manors and wildlife. It will soon become clear why the Cotswolds have inspired some of England's finest composers.

In addition to our guided cycle tours we also run regular circular cycle tours that visit fantastic pubs throughout the county. We do this simply because we love bikes and beer! The rides are free to join, but you must bring a bike, like real beer and clear your diary for the day!
